Höhen und Tiefen erfahren. Bei dieser MTB Tour geht es quer durch und über das Archangai Gebirge. Das Archangai Gebirge ist das Zentrale Gebirge innerhalb der Mongolei, mit Bergen bis zu 4000 mtr. Die Region um das Archangaigebirge zählt mit zu den schönsten Landesteilen der Mongolei. Im Süden eher mehr wüstenmäßig, dafür im Norden intensiv Grün und mit viel Wald. Diese Tour bietet auf sehr kurzer Entfernung eine Abwechslungsreiche Landschaft. Ausgangspunkt der Radtour ist Bayankhongor (1.835mtr) am Südrand des Archangai Gebirges. Von hier aus werden wir uns unseren Weg auf Mautstraßen in Richtung Süden suchen. Auf dem Weg nach Norden werden wir gute 1000 Höhenmeter überwinden. Der höchste Pass. über den wir „rüber“ müssen, ist der Sayan Dava Pass mit 2800 mtr.

1.Day	Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, check-in at the hotel, introduction round, visit to Gandan Monastery and Natural History Museum, program discussion, city tour,
2.Day	Departure from Ulaanbaatar. On the way out, according to Mongolian custom, we will stop at one of the "Owoo’s" and go around it three times so that nothing bad happens on the trip. Around noon we will reach the village of Darkhan. This is the second largest village in Mongolia, which we will also visit. Continue to Erdenet, third largest city and copper metropolis of Mongolia, shopping for further route.
3.Day	Assembling the bikes and start with the bike tour to the steppe of Mongolia. It goes in the direction of Orkhon River.
4.Day	On the road with the bicycles.

8.Day	Arrive in Ikh Tamir, visit the strangely shaped Taikhar Rock. The Taikha rock is a monolith and you can find different rock drawings, as well as inscriptions on the rock.
9.Day	One day at your free disposal. You can get acquainted with the nomadic life. We also have the opportunity to exchange the bike for a horse.
10.Day	Continue towards Tsenker warm water springs. Arrival and rest at the water springs. The warm springs are located on the edge of the Archangai Mountains. To get there, you have to climb a few meters. Rest at the warm springs.
11.Day	On the road with the bicycles.
12.Day	Drive through the beautiful and scenic Orkhon Valley to the Orkhon Waterfall. The waterfall is located in a beautiful landscape. Here you also have the possibility to go for small hikes in the surroundings in the afternoon.
13.Day	Through the mountains of Archangai with its diverse rock formations, we will go to Tuvhun Monastery. This monastery is an ancient hermitage that has been extensively restored and is located at the birthplace of the first Bogd Khan. In 1996, the hermitage was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNSC.
14.Day	Drive to Karakorum, the legendary capital of ancient Mongolia. You will experience the endless expanse of the Mongolian steppe with its traditional nomadic settlements.
15.Day	Visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery. It was founded in 1586 as the first large lamaistic monastery in Mongolia. During its heyday it housed up to 10,000 lamas. After being closed from 1941 to 1990 and serving only as a museum, lamas now live here again, taking care of the religious life in the monastery and the museum. On your tour through the buildings of the monastery you can admire beautiful examples of Buddhist iconography of the 16th century. Karakorum, the capital of the 13th century, is still remembered by two stone turtles, which are said to have supported the roof structure of the palace yurt.
16.Day	Through the Orkhon valley with its green meadows the journey goes today to the Chöschöö Tsaidam excavation site. This is the burial place of Bilgä Chagan ( Turkish commander-in-chief ). One of the four stone turtles, a sign of long life and eternity, was also excavated here. The excavation is carried out under Turkish supervision. Continue towards Ongii Nuur, a beautifully located lake. The lake is an important stop for many species of migratory birds.
17.Day	Reserve day
18.Day	Our last day on the road with the bikes. We ride through the mountains at Lake Ogii Nuur towards Ulaanbaatar.
19.Day	Return journey to Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar in the early afternoon
20.Day	City tour by arrangement, or at your free disposal in the city
21.Day	Return flight

1.Tag	Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, check-in at the hotel, introduction round, visit to Gandan Monastery and Natural History Museum, program discussion, city tour,
2.Tag	Airport transfer and about 1 ½ hour domestic flight to Bayankhongor, the provincial capital on the northern Gobirand. Here we will be met by our team, who have already driven up with the vehicles, and we will assemble the bikes. The same day we will continue our journey towards Shargal Shuut, a thermal bath known not only in Mongolia.
3.Tag	In the morning we will visit the thermal bath. From over 100 small springs bubbles different hot water, which is used as a remedy for various ailments. We continue and immediately have our first pass in front of us to get to the adjacent valley
4.Tag	On the road with bicycles through the mountains of Archangai. In the afternoon we will reach Khul Sayangiin Davaa pass with 2.750 mtr.
5.Tag	On the road with bicycles through the mountains of Archangai.

7.Tag	We reach the district capital of Tsetserleg, where we replenish our supplies and continue, along the northern side of the Archangai Mountains, to the warm springs of Tsenker.

9.Tag	Today we reach the hermitage Tuvhun. This small monastery belongs to the UNSECO cultural heritage.
10.Tag	Last stage to Karakorum, the former capital of Mongolia, with the largest monastery – Erden Zuu. We will visit the ruins of the capital and the monastery.
11.Tag	Return to Ulaanbaatar and arrival in Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon.
12.Tag	Return flight
